Items are available in game to help your empire grow, and speed your game.

 

What can Items Do?

To find the item menu, click the 'Item button' on the top of the screen.  There are 4 tabs, and also a drop down arrow for different ranks.  The fourth tab ('Overview') is a summary of all the Items you currently own.   It includes items you may not be able to use yet, if your Title is not at a high enough level.  The 'History' tab shows a record of everything you've bought/used.

 

 

Denari (In game currency)

Your Denari balance (in game currency) is also listed on the Items screen.  

In game currency can be gained in five ways:

• By purchasing through PayPal (or similar) from the Items screen.  Be aware of exchange rates.  

• You can also be rewarded with denari if you make use of the player referral scheme and that other player buys some denari.  

• There are some surveys that can be completed for denari, the reward and whether they work for you appears to be dependent on your location.

• Denari Gift Certificates can also be sent and received between players

• Script writers can 'sell' scripts that may assist other players, in the Add-On Market

 

 

Items are available to:

• Add resources

• Add speed (to builds, to troops, to carts)

• Demolish resource nodes

• Protect your city from attack (after a waiting period)

• Reduce queue length (build queue and enlist queue)

• Fill up your move slots instantly (they do refill over time)

 

The size or strength of the item is relevant to the rank of the player - anyone can access the items that are appropriate to their rank and below.

If you gain items for a higher rank than you currently hold, the item will be available when you 'unlock' the next rank by promotion.

 

How to get items

 

There are 3 ways

 

• Hunting bosses on the region map.   They may appear near your cities, send troops to kill them and depending on the level you will be rewarded with items.

• Purchasing them in the Item screen.  To do this you will need Denari (in game currency).  

• Rewards screen.  Some rewards give items such as Winged Feet.

 

Checking through your items list every now and then can be helpful, occasionally you find some items that will assist you to grow.

 

 

Important note:  Denari and Charisma

 

Every time you buy an item it reduces your Denari level - you are spending real money

Every time you use an item it reduces your Charisma level

 

Your level of charisma is shown next to the blue bottle under your 'Research' button.  There is a maximum level dependant on your title.

Charisma builds up over time, there is no way to fast forward to get more Charisma, although there is a research thread which increases the speed it replenishes.  (Alliance ownership of temples to Evara the Abundant also increases the rate of gain.)

If you use too many items and you run out of Charisma, all you can do is wait for it to replenish.
